General Winery Worker

This position will report to the Assistant Winemaker.

Essential Job Functions:

• Working closely with the winemaking team
• Responsible for the keeping the Facilities clean and adhering to Winery protocols.
• Winery equipment cleaning
• Process equipment sanitation and operations
• Assisting with cellar and barrel work
• Assisting with all harvest winery activities
• Proper use and handling of winery additives and chemicals
• Assist with Mobile Bottling Line
• Assist with wine tastings and special trade events as needed
• Upkeep of General grounds, mowing, weeding and overall cleanliness

Qualifications:

• Required to be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED from accredited institution and one-year winery or related production experience
• Knowledge of standard cellar equipment and operations
• Perform frequent physical tasks including manual labor, lifting, bending, walking, climbing or other activities.
• Required to roll and move barrels that weigh up to 70lbs.
• Required to lift and move equipment and cases of product that weigh up to 50lbs.
• Flexibility in scheduling required during harvest season.
• Good attitude and willingness to precisely follow instructions and learn new processes.
• Complies with winery production and safety protocols and winery sustainability program.
